The Robertson Group meets monthly from September to June on the 4th Thursday of the month, starting at 12:30 pm, with everyone bringing a bag lunch.
The group meet as a community in response to God’s love, breaking bread together and spending time with other Christian believers, which lifts each other up.
Ministry, takes place as we encourage, support, love and enjoy being together – No One Walks Along.
Some activities include:
- Support of the Milton Food Bank
- Supporting the Knox Sunday School Program
- Supporting various church projects
- Fellowship, Food and Fun
This group is named in honour of Mrs. Gladden Robertson, who with her husband Dr. Wm. Edgar Robertson (born in Milton) served for many years as missionaries in China. They worked together until Communist pressure forced them to return home to Canada. Dr. Robertson was in China from 1906 to 1927 and founded the American Presbyterian Church Mission Hospital at Henchow, Honan, China
Mrs. Robertson who was raised in the States, was a Sunday School teacher at Knox
for many years sharing her home, love and encouragement to our youth
